English Language Centre - Everyday English In-Person

The Everyday English course is designed to support international students who may find some aspects of living in the UK unfamiliar. The sessions aim to provide essential language skills: words, phrases, and grammar that will help you open a bank account, make phone calls or attend GP appointments. These informal sessions are interactive, offering opportunities to share your experiences of living in the UK with others in the group and practise speaking about the topics.

Academic Etiquette

In this session you will consider why it is important to be aware of cultural differences in an academic context. You will discuss common elements of academic etiquette and learn how to effectively communicate with your tutors or colleagues via email.
