English Language Centre - Everyday English In-Person

The Everyday English course is designed to support international students who may find some aspects of living in the UK unfamiliar. The sessions aim to provide essential language skills: words, phrases, and grammar that will help you open a bank account, make phone calls or attend GP appointments. These informal sessions are interactive, offering opportunities to share your experiences of living in the UK with others in the group and practise speaking about the topics.

Getting Around

In this session you will learn practical tips for using public transport in the UK. You will learn some of the vocabulary and phrases you need to know to use public transport effectively. You will also practise asking for and following directions.
