KnowHow Academic English: Pronunciation (On Campus) In-Person

These classes are open to students from all faculties: undergraduate students, postgraduate students, research students and staff.

The sessions run from Weeks 3 to 10 of Semester 1. Each week there are two sessions which are the same so you can choose the time which suits you best.

This interactive workshop looks at some of the main pronunciation challenges that second language users face.

Session 4: Natural (Connected) speech: Intrusion and linking

  • To help learners who tend to pronounce each word as though it were isolated   

  • To practice producing short utterances that incorporate intrusion and linking
