This interactive workshop looks at some of the main pronunciation challenges that second language users face. For example:
How to pronounce words taken from the academic word list accurately. This is a list of the most frequently used words in academia
When to pause naturally in a sentence (utterance) so that you do not overload the listener with information or sound robotic
How intonation (the rise and fall of your voice) can be used to communicate different kinds of meaning
How sounds change in natural speech (connected speech)
