This session is suitable for PhD researchers, Post-docs, Early Career Researchers.
Text and data mining (TDM) technologies help researchers process large amounts of data. Copyright law has altered to help ensure that if a researcher is carrying out non-commercial research, they will not infringe copyright by copying material for a TDM analysis. This training session will set out the conditions under which researchers can take advantage of the law and legitimately use TDM in their research, as well as outlining the tools publishers make available to enable TDM analysis.
This session will be on Zoom and facilitated by Gordon Sandison, Licensing Manager, University of Liverpool Library and Gary Jeffers, Research Data Management Officer, Open Research Team, University of Liverpool Library.
