KnowHow - Webinar: Statistics 4 SPSS drop-in Online

This online drop-in is for students who have questions about using SPSS- a statistical package used to analyse data.

If you have never used SPSS before, you can work through the 'Introduction to SPSS' handbook before attending the drop-in. Download the data here and the handbook here

The handbook covers:

  • Installing SPSS off campus
  • Inputting data
  • Generating descriptive statistics such as mean and standard error
  • Making graphs using SPSS

Other handbooks and datasets are available if you would like to practice performing t-tests and ANOVAs in SPSS before the drop-in. They can be found on VITAL under KnowHow: Academic Success and Canvas- KnowHow: Study for Success, under the statistics- comparing means/medians section.

Please note that this drop-in will not answer advanced statistical questions and is aimed at those who have just started using the software.
