Copyright, copyleft, and point in-between In-Person

Copyright – do you really need to know about it when you’re using material for teaching? Or how about when you’re publishing your research outputs – it’s your work so you own the copyright, right?

As with so many things, the answers are more nuanced than that. In this session, Gordon and Martin will introduce some of the main issues to consider, including:

  • What copyright actually is
  • How best to use copyrighted works in your teaching activities
  • Copyright issues involved in publishing your work
  • Creative Commons licences and other “copyleft” licences that work alongside copyright
