Altmetric tracks a variety of sources (News, social meda, Wikipedia, policy documents, patents etc.) to capture the mentions of research outputs. It can be a useful way to see the attention your research is getting before traditional citations kick in, and can help demonstrate the reach and potential impact of your research.
This workshop will introduce you to Altmetric and altmetrics, why they can be useful, and get you started with registering for an account and using the system.
