DMP workshop - tackling a data management plan GDPR Special In-Person

One aspect of research data management that is important at the beginning of a project ( when in fact it is just a glimmer is someone's eye  so to speak) is the data management plan. Many funders now require such a plan and completing one is set to become an integral part of the bidding process. Funders ask questions about plans, can send them back for revisions or ask for more details, post award.

This interactive workshop will focus on projects that involve personal and/or special category data, a GDPR special. Vicky Heath, Data Protection and Freedom of Information Manager will be in attendance to discuss GDPR and research.

Although a data management plan should be written at the beginning of a project, data should be managed throughout a project. Please be prepared to discuss your current or potential research projects, your funders expectations and any feedback you have already had on any projects to date.

Please note if you do not deal with personal or special category data do not sign up for this workshop, rather sign up for the later workshop. There will be a lot of talk specifically about this aspect and it would not apply to you. This is the only difference bewteen workshop.
