My name is Victoria and I am a final year PhD student in Economics working at the intersection of political economy, economics of crime, and urban economics. My research examines the development of criminal legacies in institutionally weak settings and the dynamics that unfold when formal policies seek to regain control. I mainly employ georeferenced data, historical records, and quasi-experimental methods. I have an interdisciplinary background spanning Economics, Public Policy Analysis, and Political Science, so I am happy to provide help for students across all disciplines; I can assist in queries regarding the basics of statistics - such as data visualisation and regression analysis - but also more advanced applications such as general econometrics, spatial analysis, webscraping, and text analysis. I am proficient in several software such as Stata, R, GIS/ArcGIS, and LaTeX.
