‘Baking’ and ‘tasting’ data: A crash course in Geographic Data Science. Making the most out of new forms of data is similar to baking a cake. You need good ingredients including digital traces of human activity and interactions with the environment. A kitchen with a full set of tools for processing, transforming and churning data into what you want to create. Once baked, presentation is key to show off through accessible visualizations and open web platforms. This talk by Dr Arribas-Bel and Dr Mark Green will take you straight into the kitchen of the Geographic Data Science Lab and will give you a taste of some of their best examples of data science cuisine
